Informatics brings together faculty and senior researchers as well as graduate students and industry partners to conduct cutting edge research in areas from the natural sciences, engineering and business to the humanities and social sciences. Informatics fosters collaborations with industry and outside organizations to invent the information environments of the future. Your support directly impacts the ability for graduate students in all focus areas to gain vital access to national and global conferences, secure dynamic industry leading speakers, and ensures ongoing field training for faculty and staff.

Seed Inovation: CU Community Fab Lab
The Champaign Urbana Community Fab Lab is an open collaborative, capacity-building makerspace. We strive to enable makers of all kinds through instruction, open access, mentoring, community engagement, and research. Serving the campus and CU community for over 10 years the Fab Lab sees over 2400 visitors a year, hosts 13 UIUC courses in areas like The Design of Usable Information Interfaces, Escape Room, Game Studies, and Technology and Costume Craft. Your donation will directly impact the ongoing effort to serve the community and campus simultaneously, keep materials and machine access open and affordable, and continue to support local artist, makers, students, and entrepreneurs.
