Doctoral Candidate James Balamuta successfully defended his dissertation, “Bayesian Estimation of Restricted Latent Class Models: Extending priors, link functions, and structural models” on June 30th and will graduate August 2021.

Research: My research interests lie primarily in the cross-sections of computational statistics, psychometric modeling, and large scale data problems. Presently, I am working on exploratory cognitive diagnostic modeling and as well as a way to perform a structured analysis of learning.
