Cognitive Science and Language Processing
Graduate advisor: Prof. Bryan White, IGB
My research focuses on developing machine learning systems for the knowledge discovery process.
I am interested in developing scalable and interactive systems that work across domains, but my primary areas of application are computational biology, medicine and natural language understanding.
My recent research with the Visual Analytics Lab at the Illinois Applied Research institute involves heterogeneous network analysis, unsupervised metric and manifold learning for very high dimensional data, as well as supervised feature selection algorithms with ensembles.
