I am a PhD student in Informatics at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign working in plant genomics. My research focuses on building accurate and high-quality genome assemblies and studying how genomes are organized and vary across different plant lines. I aim to generate reliable genome resources that support strong genetic and evolutionary research.

More broadly, I develop reproducible computational workflows and pipelines for comparing genomes and identifying large-scale DNA differences, improving how genome data are analyzed and applied in agriculture. In the long term, I hope to extend this work to other organisms and use genome assembly and comparative genomics to better understand biological diversity more broadly.
