My research is grounded in complex systems theory and focuses on measuring and mapping political and cultural systems using mixed methods. Broadly, I am interested in assessing and analyzing armed conflict, humanitarian crises, and multilateral interventions. More specifically, my current research focuses on the interaction between sound, violence, and international law; this includes when sound is both a primary tool for violence and when it is an additional dimension to violent acts.
