Game Studies & Design (GSD) hosts two events annually. The Playful by Design conference, held annually since 2018, features keynote speakers on current topics relevant to academic game studies and design programs and a diverse range of workshops and talks on game related research, game design, gameful pedagogy, and game technologies. The Spring Showcase features a day of play-testing for students to share their new games, designs, and game components.
